Course outline
The CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building Construction comprises 19 units that teach learners how to apply knowledge of structural principles, codes, standards and legal requirements; how to plan and supervise safe building and construction work; and how to prepare and administer contracts. Students learn how to apply quality principles to building and construction projects.

- CPCCBC4007 Plan building or construction work
- CPCCBC4008 Supervise site communication and administration processes for building and construction processes

- CPCCBC4010 Apply structural principles to residential and commercial constructions

| Delivery | Face-to-face learning This course requires students to demonstrate a range of management and planning skills related to the building process. It is desirable that students have access to a live construction worksite. Students must demonstrate and record the management and planning of specific components of the building process. These tasks must be signed off by a suitably qualified person on the worksite. |
