Managing Business Risk
In a sector as multifaceted as construction, financial and operational risks come with the job. This three-hour livestream workshop is led by building and construction accountancy experts who will take a deep dive into managing business risk. You'll get the tools to navigate issues such as payment scenarios, choosing appropriate insurance, and detecting early signs of insolvency – both in your own business and those you deal with.
This livestream workshop is one of three workshops in our new financial series and it is recommended that construction and trade businesses complete all three to get a better understanding of navigating the myriad of compliance obligations. All three courses are stand-alone courses and participants can opt to complete one, two or all three.

Three-part financial series
The three-part series aims to cover the critical commercial and accounting foundations operators need to be on top of in order to survive and thrive. The other two courses in the series are Financial Basics for Construction and Understanding MFR’s and QBCC Licensing. By the end of this three-part series, attendees will be equipped with the comprehensive knowledge needed to not only meet compliance requirements but also to excel in the financial and risk management aspects of running a successful building and construction business.
All three courses are stand-alone courses and participants can opt to complete one, two or all three.

CSQ provides funding to reduce the financial obstacle to training, making upskilling an affordable option for many more individuals in the construction industry. ^CSQ contributes towards the cost of this course under the small business program. Eligibility criteria applies – enrolling student must be a small business owner or employee of a building and construction business (directly involved in the administrative day-to-day running of the business).
