Before booking an event with Master Builders, you must read and agree to these terms & conditions.
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and inclusive of Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.
Master Builders reserves the right to change or cancel an event at any time.
Master Builders reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to, or remove any person from, an event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by Master Builders staff and/or its agents.
Payment
If you do not choose to register and pay online, your credit card payment must accompany your registration form in order for it to be processed and confirmed. We are not able to process event registrations until payment has been received.
Cancellations & refunds
Master Builders will refund all fees paid by clients where an event has been cancelled by Master Builders. All clients are given the opportunity to transfer to another event or receive a full refund.
It is a clients’ obligation to notify Master Builders of the inability to attend an event prior to its commencement. Failure to do so will result in no refund being granted.
Where a client withdraws or cancels from an event prior to the RSVP date, a full refund will be granted.
Where a client withdraws or cancels from an event after the RSVP date, a refund will not automatically be granted. Where extenuating circumstances apply and contribute to a client having to withdraw or cancel, a request for a refund must be made to Master Builders in writing which will be considered on a case by case basis.
Payment of refunds
All cheque refunds are processed in Brisbane and may take up to two weeks. Payment of refunds will be in the form of a cheque unless the original transaction is by credit card and the refund is processed on the same day.
Photography & filming
By registering for a Master Builders event you agree that Master Builders or its agents may take photographs and film footage of you at the event, and may use the photographs and/or film footage for Master Builders promotional and/or commercial purposes, including, but not limited to, on our website, the Master Builder magazine, social media, eNewsletters, and other print and digital publications. You agree that filmed material may be reproduced for these purposes as film, audio or written quotation. You also agree that you are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from Master Builders in respect of the images/footage.
The photographs and footage will be used by Master Builders only and will not be released to any external parties, except for production purposes. You accept the risk that photographs and/or film footage of you may be downloaded from Master Builders website, or taken from a brochure or other publication, and reproduced in social media or other websites or elsewhere, or otherwise communicated or made available to the public or sections of the public.
Privacy & security
Master Builders takes the protection of personal information and financial details very seriously. Master Builders has adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner – a copy of which is available on request – and operates in accordance with those principles. We collect personal information in relation to your event registration for a variety of purposes, including the release of your contact details to event sponsors (but no other third parties). If you do not wish your personal information to be supplied to event sponsors or for more information, refer to our privacy policy.
Master Builders uses SecurePay to provide a secure environment for the authorisation of credit card and charge card transactions. Confidential information, including card details, is encrypted using industry standard SSL 128-bit encryption technology.
