Wages are increasing on 1 November 2020

The increase of 1.75%, in line with this year’s minimum wage increase, will be effective in Awards applying in our industry from the first pay period after 1 November 2020.

Unfortunately, the Fair Work Commission has elected to use the September quarter CPI data to determine all expense-related allowances, some of which form part of base rates. As a result, the Fair Work Commission will not issue the updated awards until 31 October 2020.

We will update our wages circulars as soon as these new figures are available and publish them on our website from Wednesday, 4 November 2020.
